Class A CDL Driver / Local Route/ Material Handler
Description

We are hiring a dependable Class A CDL Driver to complete local deliveries, operate a forklift, load and unload materials, support shipping and receiving, and help keep the shop organized. This is a hands-on role with daily variety and home time daily.

Responsibilities
  • Drive company vehicles to complete safe, accurate, and on-time local customer deliveries
  • Vehicles -including, but not limited to: Straight Truck and Ram 4500
  • Trailer -including, but not limited to: Conestoga Gooseneck
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, pallets, steel parts, and fabricated metal products
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Secure loads properly and complete delivery paperwork, bills of lading, and related documentation
  • Verify shipments meet customer specifications
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely in a manufacturing environment
  • Receive, inspect, record, label, and stage incoming materials, customer orders, and inventory
  • Pick, pack, wrap, package, and prepare finished goods for shipment or delivery
  • Work with teammates to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment
  • Assist with additional tasks and projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Valid Class D Driver License
  • Valid Class A CDL, current FED MED card, and clean driving record
  • Ability to follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and safe driving procedures
  • Prior Class A CDL driving experience preferred; local delivery experience is a plus
  • Forklift operation experience, forklift certification, or willingness to be trained
  • Experience with delivery driving, warehouse work, shipping and receiving, material handling, manufacturing, or general labor preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work well with a team
