Description

Join a growing, family-owned manufacturing company in a key role responsible for supporting the customer journey from quotation through delivery.  This position supports estimating, customer order management, supplier relationships, inventory coordination, purchasing activities, and production support while helping ensure jobs are completed accurately, profitably, and on schedule.

The role serves as a critical link between customers, vendors, office staff, and production personnel, helping maintain efficient workflow and material availability throughout the manufacturing process.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with company leadership and play a key role in supporting the growth of a modern, technology-driven fabrication business.

Responsibilities
  • Develop accurate and profitable customer quotations using Paperless Parts estimating software by reviewing RFQ packages, validating automated takeoffs, confirming material and manufacturing requirements, and evaluating outside processing costs.
  • Obtain and evaluate material pricing, supplier quotations, and outside processing costs to support accurate quoting, purchasing decisions, and job profitability.
  • Manage customer orders from quote acceptance through shipment, including job setup, ERP record maintenance, production documentation, and order fulfillment activities.
  • Coordinate material planning, supplier communications, purchase orders, receiving activities, and inventory replenishment to ensure material availability and efficient production flow.
  • Track jobs throughout production, communicate status updates and delivery schedules, and work closely with production personnel to resolve material, scheduling, inventory, and order-related issues.
  • Support ERP system accuracy, maintain quote, customer, job, and purchasing records, and monitor job costs, material usage, and purchasing activity to support operational performance and profitability.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, production personnel, and company leadership while supporting continuous improvement and additional operational responsibilities as business needs require.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Global Shop Solutions or similar manufacturing ERP systems
  • Manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial experience
  • Experience with purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain activities
  • Experience working with customer orders, production scheduling, or fulfillment processes
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret operational data
